My friends baby’s first birthday is approaching and I want to get both mother and baby a present, but I’m stuck on ideas, anyone got any thoughts? I don’t mind spending quite a bit of money

Perhaps some some of those soft, plastic books for toddlers. Stuffed toys of all kinds are usually a great idea.

For the mom… maybe buy her a spa weekend or something, while you keep the baby? Or if there’s not a spa nearby, give her an IOU for a weekend of babysitting while she goes to do something for herself.
