How do you handle ugly gifts, things you would never, every buy for yourself. The people giving them to me are very close and will see the baby and my home often.

Help!!!

I’ve been waiting for this pregnancy for many years and just have my heart set of how everything will look just so – I really don’t know how to handle this situation.

Say thank you and bring the gift out when they come to visit. It’s a gift, you should try to be grateful. It may be hard, but there’s not really anything else you can do in that situation unless you want to seem rude.

The people invited to the shower should know that she’s moving, and will likely understand that’s why this request is being made.

My friend just had a baby and she and her husband already have everything they need–and they are financially well-off, so they won’t need diapers or formula. I would like to give them a great and lasting gift, not just a jumper or a blanket. I was thinking of something more along the lines of a savings bond or something else kind of unrelated to newborn babies, but I think it may be too impersonal. Again, I would like a gift that would last a long time. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

get them a gift certificate toa baby store…im sure they’ll find something they can use that they dont have…

I want to find a good way to give multiple books as a present for a friend’s baby shower. I didn’t want to wrap because the final product would look awkward since the books are different sizes. Can someone help me?

I know you said you dont want to wrap them but maybe wrap them all singly with different papers then stack them up from biggest to smallest putting a bit of tape in between and the string a bow around it and maybe link a paccy or a teddy on top?

Its the first thing i could think of other than a fancy gift bag.

I have never been to a baby shower that has a dj, so this is new to me. I don’t you’ll play long. Maybe when the guests are arriving and while they’re eating. The other times, should be be dedicated to games, gift opening, or getting to know the guests. I found a website that suggests “nice, lite singer songwriters who are also fun and interesting.”
