Question by thejanith: What’s a good gift for Muslim baby? Is there anything special that would be most appreciated?
A friend (Christian) wants to know if there’s anything special that Muslims would appreciate for their baby girl, especially Indonesian Muslims. Is there anything (easily mailable) that’s traditional as a baby gift?

Question by Chriztina: Planning a co-ed baby shower and I would like some input on the decorations?
I’m already avoiding pretty much all of the standard baby shower decorations. The invitations are very bright and colourful and I’m planning on sticking with those colours instead of pastels. What 2 colours do you think would go well together? The shower will be for a baby girl but the colours certainly don’t need to be gender specific. What are some things I can decorate with so the guys don’t feel more akward then they probably already do with attending a co-ed shower?

yellow and like a really light green..im not sure if you know the shade of green im thinking about..
but its light and kinda like a neon green…

I was wondering if the mother to be goes herself to register for baby gifts or does the man usually go with you to do that stuff?

How do you handle ugly gifts, things you would never, every buy for yourself. The people giving them to me are very close and will see the baby and my home often.

Say thank you and bring the gift out when they come to visit. It’s a gift, you should try to be grateful. It may be hard, but there’s not really anything else you can do in that situation unless you want to seem rude.
